I have lost the USB receiver of my Microsoft mouse

Hello! As the title says, I have recently lost the USB receiver that works with my Microsoft Touch Mouse.

I have read in many places that the USB receivers are paired from factory to their mouse, but I want to think there is still hope.

So is there any way to make it usable again? I have spent quite some money on it, and I don't want to just throw it away.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Vlad

    Hi ,

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue!

I'm Ramzi, an Independent advisor, here to help you.

I don't to give some fake hopes.. Wireless mouse are paired with their Own USB.. The problem is not just pairing, but they are using a unique frequency to work.. You can't just use another bluetooth and use it ..

    Hello,

AFAIK, the Microsoft mouse and USB transceiver are paired and will only work with each other. In case if they are under warranty, you can ask Microsoft for a replacement. Contact Microsoft Support regrading same. Else you may need to purchase a new set.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Domnul

Those are not sold separately, though you can probably order one from the Microsoft Supplemental Parts team, details are on this page:

I do not think you can get a replacement receiver. I keep buying Logitec M185 mice for my clients. They cost around $20 each.

Thanks for the answer, but as I've said, I don't want to throw it away yet and just buy something else. I quite like the feel of the mouse, even with the right click problems every one of them has.

Before I throw it away and move on, I want to get a definitive answer.

Also, I don't have warranty as I've bought it second-hand, but it wouldn't apply either way due to missing parts.
