    H Iris

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this . . .

Community is just a user to user forum, we are not Microsoft Employees

The only way you can be sure that person works for Microsoft is if you contacted Microsoft support using one of the global support numbers

If that is not how contact was made, or if they contacted you by phone, Email or in a web browser, then that is a scam and they are not Microsoft Employees

Please provide more information on how contact was made . . .

Thanks, David.  I was indeed contacted by phone and, for reasons I don't now understand, didn't hang up immediately.  When he asked me to share my screen, I was almost sure it was a scam, told him I didn't have 30 minutes and asked him to call back.  He hasn't, and in the meantime I confirmed the call was a scam.
