Microsoft Launcher 6 is now missing the dock quick actions

I love Microsoft launcher and have been using it ever since I have switched from Windows phone to Android. It has just updated itself to version 6 and now I find when I swipe up from the dock, the quick action icons, like flashlight, WiFi, Airplane mode,  ect, are now missing.

I used these all the time, especially for the flashlight. I have looked in the settings and cannot find how to re-add them, tried changing from 2 to 3 lines, but still cannot get them back.

Not sure why these were remove, I think it was a great feature

Any ideas of how to get these back or is it by design

I also liked that widget in the dock and hope it is brought back.

Just ran into this after launcher updated b while I'm camping...how annoying since I can't access the flashlight the way I have for the past two years.

Launcher team- what is the deal?!

I have been a Nova Launcher user for...  a while, and I really do love it.  But, I'm always looking at other launchers just to see what's out there.  At one point, I tried Microsoft Launcher and the specific thing I just loved about the Microsoft Launcher was the expandable dock with the widget capability.  That alone almost made me want to switch.

(There were other things I didn't like as much in Microsoft Launcher, but this isn't about those.  <wry smile>)

When I went back to Nova Launcher I started looking for SOMETHING that could do the same thing.  And, I found it.  :-)

Bottom Quick Settings app.  (Playstore link)  Back in August 2019 it looks like it cost me $2.49 to get the "Premium Features".  There is a free version, but I honestly don't remember what was "locked" that made me want to purchase it with my Google Opinion Rewards stash.  :-)

Interestingly enough, you can have Bottom Quick Settings running at...  the bottom...  and still be able to swipe up in the middle of the MS Launcher dock to expand it.  (Bottom Quick Settings can adjust the width, location left to right and "thickness" for the area to swipe.  Can even put them on the right or left sides.  Or any combination of the three!)  And no, I'm not affiliated with Bottom Quick Settings or the programmers other than having purchased it.  :-)

I agree whole-heartedly that Microsoft should bring those widgets/system switches back!

Looks like they've also removed the ability for custom icon actions with swipe-up. 👀  I'm assuming the changes are for the Surface Duo.

I also used this all the time. It is the primary reason I used Microsoft launcher over other.  Perhaps will be in the hunt for launchers again.
