When I try to open and install the newest version of Kaspersky anti-virus on one of my computers - Windows gives me a message saying that I need to get the app from the microsoft store.  but then the settings are completely confusing.

Does anybody know how to fix this problem?  It was not a problem on the first computer also running windows 10

thanks!

Microsoft security does seem better than it used to be

But I'm not sure it is quite enough the way this particular computer is used, by my intellectually disabled son,  what do you think?

I have not have any problems with mine.

    .

The best security sits between the chair and the keyboard.  Watch what and where you click.  If you do not know what is there do not click on "Click here".  If you get an email that sates it is from your provider look at the address of the sender.  If it has a couple of letters at the end they are probably the foreign country and that is not where your provider is located.  When downloading programs do it from the maker not anyone else and do not allow any extra items to be included.

    Hi

On that computer I have Windows 10 Home.  could not find that drop down menu.  Any other ideas for finding that menu?

another answer I received is that Microsoft now provides good enough security

    Hi Michael

Open the Settings App (gear icon on your Start Menu)

    1

    Go to Apps

At the top of that page, is there a drop-down to choose where you want to install software form, and is that set to 'Everywhere'?

    2

In the Settings App, go to Home - Update and Security - Activation

What is the exact edition of Windows 10 installed on your PC, is that Home, Pro, Home S . . .etc.?
