The 'run as admin' error is bogus. MS couldn't be bothered building a correct error into Win10 for a situation they created.
They don't seem to care about people running around in circles trying to make 'run as admin' work.
COD usesSafeDisk copy protection, and MS built a blocker into Win10 that prevents disc based games that use SafeDisk from
launching. This is because a perceived security threat from the driver - secdrv.sys- that is used by SafeDisk.
The only way to get the hundreds of old disc based games that use SafeDisk to run is to use a noCD fix\hack.
A noCD fix is also required with some of the games that used SecuROM copy protection.
You can get noCD fixes from - Here -. Use the one that matches the version your game is patched to
('re-release' disc versions are generally fully patched).
Note that the most recent patch that a noCD fix is available for is v1.4.

If you have the Game of the Year ed, there is also a patch for the United Offensive expansion. That will also require a noCD for single player.
I don't know if the v1.5 patch would work, but it may (it may also include a fixed CODSP.exe) ?

- I'm a bit surprised your game is also crashing when selecting Multi-player. The game will normally run LAN or on line
with an original multi-player .exe . My copy doesn't load at all using the original single player .exe on Win10.
- You could also get a digital download version from --Humblebundle-- or Steam. Wait for a Sale and you should be able
to pick it up at 60-70% 'off' (or what it would be normally selling for if they didn't artificially inflate the RRP).
These versions have the DRM removed and are patched and ready to go.
