I know this question has been asked before but the answers don't fit me. How many levels in FreeCell? I am in level 176, game 4330869. My average time is around 3 minutes or less. It tells me next level is 180. How many more are they? I don't even know if I'm asking in the right category but there is none for games. Thank you

I have won 8,960 out of 8,960 games at "Expert" level. I am supposedly on level 1015 and reached Gold Grandmaster 124. I thought perhaps hitting 1000 would change the designation to something else, but apparently it just keeps upping the number after "Gold Grandmaster."

    Hi Virginiasps

There are 300 levels in that version of Freecell . . .

I' m on level 2015 and the title is Gold Grandmaster 324.

I do not know when this end. Title increasing every 5 games.

A game takes 4-5 deals only to complete a circle.

    It's moving real fast,

Thanks for showing that you got to level 2,015, so I quit at level 660 Gold Gmaster53. At expert it's just the same games over & over. I started playing this way even though MS does not support it. #1 through #150 at present all the cards at the bottom till last move. 27 games I couldn't solve

    Hi Spyguy,

     ...

As for levels---I've noticed one goes up a level every 10 winning games.  I haven't lost a game in the last 10,000 games, so I don't know if, by losing a game or two, whether leveling up is tied to 10 wins or 10 games.

I'm currently at Gold Grand Master 161---It takes 50 games or five levels to go up in title status.

Levels--I'm now at level 1,204 having played 11,200 games and winning 10,967  WHICH brings up how many games it takes to get to the different Title levels.  I haven't figured that  out.  In other words, if I'm at Grand Master 161 AND it takes 50 games per title I should have gotten there after 8,050 games (GM 161 x 50).  So it took winning some 2,000 games before entering the different Title Levels AND I wasn't paying attention at the time to make note of the process. ....

This is a portion of your quote that I wish to clarify. Levels are NOT based on games played. They are strictly determined by XP Bonus. You need 5250 XP to achieve each level. In the early stages of the game that XP requirement might be a bit less. I did not track those early games. So what does this mean? As an example, you'll need 63,000 XP to gain 12 levels (12 * 5250 = 63,000). For each difficulty mode you need the following number of games to gain those 12 levels.

    1. EASY (300 XP per game): 63,000/300 = 210 games per 12 levels
    2. MEDIUM (500 XP per game): 63,000/500 = 126 games per 12 levels
    3. HARD (700 XP per game): 63,000/700  = 90 games per 12 levels
    4. EXPERT (1000 XP per game): 63,000/1000 = 63 games per 12 level

Let's say you wanted to know how many games are needed to advance from level 100 (Grandmaster) to level 200 (Bronze Grandmaster 1). Since the requirement to advance 1 level is 5250 XP you will need 100 * 5250 XP = 525,000 total XP for 100 levels. To determine the minimum number of games necessary to achieve this goal use simple division. Divide the total XP (525,000) by the XP gained per game (either 300, 500, 700, or 1000). Of course if you change difficulty modes that will affect the total number of games required. Eg. you decide to continously rotate through each difficulty mode. Game 1 you play easy mode, game 2 medium, game 3 hard and game 4 expert, game 5 back to easy, game 6 medium etc. so you end up playing 25% of the games in each mode. Now how many games will it take to gain those 100 levels?

Each rotation you will gain 300 + 500 + 700 + 1000 = 2500 XP. Next you diivide 525,000 XP (amount needed for 100 levels) by 2500 (amount gained per rotation and that result is 210 rotations. So, if you continously rotated the difficulty mode you would need 210 easy games (63000 XP) + 210 medium games (105,000 XP) + 210 hard games (147,000 XP) and 210 expert games (210 ,000 XP). Added together the final result is 63,000  easy XP + 105,000 medium XP + 147,000 Hard XP + 210,000 expert XP  = 525,000 total XP which exactly matches  the 100 level XP requirement. Total number of games played is 210 * 4 = 840

    TL;DR

Minimum XP bonus required for 1 level: 5250

Minumum XP bonus required for 100 levels: 525,000

Minumum XP bonus required  for 1000 levels: 5,250,000
