Game bar record desktop

Unable to record desktop using game bar. It shows instructions which are not possible to follow.

"Gaming features aren't available for the Windows desktop or File Explorer. To start a desktop broadcast, launch a game, and then select Desktop during your broadcast setup."

    Microsoft,

    Can you buy me Snagit since you took a feature away that was on my computer when I bought it?  This stinks!!!  I'm going back to Google at least I'm used to them giving and taking back.

    Thanks for the great Screen recorder. Yes fps setting would be nice to have. I do not need it for games. Also a option to highlight mouse cursor would be nice. Microsoft is over engineering with they game bar a simple screen recorder should be part of OS. I do not play games so I do not need game bar, games listed in [whatever] Store or ads with games why Microsoft, Apple, Google can't respect that.

    I downloaded this SW and tried to capture from my desktop, but it stopped and said I am using extended desktop. But I am not using extended display.

    Looks like a false positive. None of the listed antivirus I would consider as worth to install.
