What are the basic tasks you can't complete?

Are you running 32-bit Windows or 64-bit Windows? How much RAM you need for decent performance depends on what programs you are running, but for almost everyone 4GB is the absolute minimum for 32-bit and 8G the absolute minimum for 64-bit. So there's a good chance that your problem is caused by not having enough RAM.

And note that the i3 is the slowest of the current Intel CPUs.

    Hi Karthik

The only thing that I see wrong with your PC is you have too many security suites installed on your PC and they are battling for control of your PC, you have Avast and McAfee installed, in all honesty, the best method to make your PC more responsive would be to uninstall both of them totally and rely on Windows Security suite to protect you

Or, at the very least uninstall one of those, you only need one security suite . . .

    Hi Karthik

    i am Dave, an Independent Advisor . . .

Lagging is usually caused by one of your hardware components being very busy . . .

Open Task manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc)

Choose the Processes Tab and leave that open to monitor your system

When your laptop is lagging, is Disk, Memory or CPU at a very high percentage?

If so, click that column header, so that arrow faces down

Please post a screenshot of that Processes tab . .

Uninstall and get rid of the extra Antivirus programs you have !! You do Not need them. Windows Defender is all you need. Also 4GB of Ram is Not enough. No wonder the computer lags every time you try to do something.
