Have you guys found a solution?
USB MIDI device not recognised and wrong driver installed.
Hello!
Whenever I connect my Yamaha psr-e453 keyboard to my windows 10 pc, it installs the wrong driver automatically.
The driver it should install should be a USB midi driver, instead windows installs a USB audio driver, and also shows a yellow triangle in the device manager.
I tried to install the Yamaha USB midi drivers, but the installation instructions say that I need to "cancel" the device setup wizard which should automatically appear, so that Yamaha setup can find the device. But when windows 10 already installs a wrong driver, Yamaha can't find the device.
Uninstalling the preinstalled driver also doesn't work.
Updating the USB audio device to Yamaha USB midi drivers (They were preinstalled) didn't work as well.
The dialog box said "code 10".
Please help me.

2020-08-05T15:50:15+00:00 Hi Bianca,
I restarted my windows 10 pc in safe mode. Here is what happened-
>The device manager showed my Midi keyboard as Digital Keyboard without the yellow triangle.
>It didn't show code 10 under device properties because safe mode couldn't find the status of the device.
>Anyway, I installed the inbuilt Yamaha MIDI USB driver and restarted my computer.
>The yellow triangle was there again, with the error "Device could not start(code 10)".
>Device properties listed it as a Yamaha Midi device, but it still cannot start.
P.S.- This Keyboard works without any doubt on my Windows 7 pc, I just double checked.
Thank you!!!

2020-08-04T17:40:30+00:00 Hi, I tried reinstalling the drivers as you suggested, but the Yamaha driver won't complete installing. It says no device connected.
What should happen is When I plug my Midi keyboard in, Windows should show me a setup window. The Yamaha setups instructs to cancel any such setup. But My pc installs the drivers when they are not needed!!!
