NO IMAGING DEVICE DRIVER AFTER WINDOWS 10 UPDATE

I need help with my webcam. The last time I have accessed my webcam was on February 16, 2020. It was still working fine at that time but then it stopped working after a Microsoft update.

Ever since, my camera cannot be accessed. I have no Imaging Devices on the Device Manager, even in the unknown devices. I have enabled all the Camera privacy, and I have no antivirus that would prevent me from using it. I tried to do a restore point last June 2020, but there was no help.

Please help me asap. I need this for my online class.

Thank you so much.

    Hello!

There are no camera drivers in the USB controllers. These are the only ones listed.

Also, I installed the Chipset driver but the camera is still not working.

    Thank you!

Hi JL1212! Thanks for reaching out. My name is Princess. I'm an independent advisor. I'll be happy to help you out today.

I need a bit more detail to be able to help you.

    1. Please click the Windows Start Menu.
    2. Type "DXDIAG" and hit the enter key.
    3. Under the System tab, check the "System Manufacturer" and "System model" and please let me know.

In the meantime, you can also check the article below on how to fix the camera missing in the device manager on Windows 10.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let me know how it goes.

    Hi JL1212,

    Please check the BIOS version.

    1. Press the Start key + R.
    2. Copy-paste the command below and press enter.

    msinfo32

    1. This will open the "System Information".
    2. Look for the "BIOS Version/Date.
    3. Check from the manufacturer's website if there is a new version of the BIOS update.

    https://www.asus.com/ph/ROG-Republic-Of-Gamers/...

Note: The BIOS (Basic Input-Output System) is an absolutely critical component of your system. If it becomes corrupted, it will cause the computer not to turn on anymore. Please coordinate with the manufacturer's support before proceeding to the BIOS update.

    1. After the BIOS update, install the ASUS Live Update ASUS Live Update APP ver3.6.8. You could also check manually via the ASUS LiveUpdate Software if you have all the necessary drivers.
    2. Safely restart the PC.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let me know how it goes.

    Thank you!

    Sincerely,

    P. Blancaflor

    Hello!

I have already done everything I can on the said article weeks ago, and none of them helped. When I try to click on the "Action" tab on the Device Manager, the only option found in there is "Help," and no "Add Legacy Hardware."

Moreover, these are the system manufacturer and model: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. and GL552VW.

    Thank you!

    Hello again!

I tried to do this last June 2020 (going back to a restore point), but it did not do anything. I am pretty sure it is not a hardware failure. I have similar issues with other people as well. Please help me fix this.

    Thank you!
