NO IMAGING DEVICE DRIVER AFTER WINDOWS 10 UPDATE

I need help with my webcam. The last time I have accessed my webcam was on February 16, 2020. It was still working fine at that time but then it stopped working after a Microsoft update.

Ever since, my camera cannot be accessed. I have no Imaging Devices on the Device Manager, even in the unknown devices. I have enabled all the Camera privacy, and I have no antivirus that would prevent me from using it. I tried to do a restore point last June 2020, but there was no help.

Please help me asap. I need this for my online class.

Thank you so much.

    Hi JL1212,

In that case, I would suggest searching the webcam driver on the USB controller section. Please follow the steps below for the detailed instructions.

    1. Open the Device Manager.
    2. Click the View tab.
    3. Click Show hidden devices.
    4. Go to Universal Serial Bus controllers and double-click it.
    5. Check if you see the Camera driver.
    6. Double-click to open the dialog box.
    7. Click the Driver tab.
    8. Click on the Roll Back Driver button. (Follow the rest instruction.
    9. Safely restart the PC.

If that does not help, re-download, and install the Chipset driver from the manufacturer's official website.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let me know how it goes.

    Thank you!

    Sincerely,

    P. Blancaflor

    Update:

I tried to uninstall everything but these are the only updates left that cannot be uninstalled. I restarted my laptop, but the camera won't show up.

    Thank you!

    Hi JL1212,

Have you tried removing the installed Windows update?

If you've recently installed a Windows update, uninstall the update to try to resolve the issue.

Select the Start button, then select Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > View your update history > Uninstall updates.

after the uninstall, safely restart your laptop
