I have a Lenovo Thinkpad E480, from the last 20 days(may be after the windows update) it gives a BSOD error (WHEA UNCORRECTABLE ERROR) when left idle, it doesn't even  restart automatically, it just sits on the bsod screen with 0% progress, I have done the chkdsk step and got no error, in fact I have tried almost all the solutions that are available on internet, please help me solve this error.

The configurations of my laptop are:

i7-8550U  @1.80GHz 2GHz

8 GB ram

2 TB hard disk STA..

windows 10 pro 64 bit

OS build 18363.959

The dump files.

    Hi,

Thanks for finding out the files which were causing the problem,

I have already tried almost all the suggestions present on the mentioned links, the problem of BSOD is there only when the system is left idle for more than 20 minutes else it is working fine, so do you have any idea if it could be a hardware problem ?

If no then is there anything else that I can do which is specific to the problem.

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you’re facing issues with Blue Screens on your PC, and I certainly appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve the issue.

We will certainly look into this for you.

Based on the analysis of dump files, the Blue Screens are caused by ATIKMDAG.sys. One of the things that you can do is refer the article How to Troubleshoot Timeout Detection and Recovery Errors and see if that helps.

In addition, you can refer the article How to fix WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR and see if that helps.

What OS build are you on?  Hit the Windows key, type winver, hit Enter.

    Or Windows key+r, winver, OK
