When I Turn On My Computer It Says That Hard Drive Is Not Found And It Gives Me These Options press f1 to continue and when i continue it says boot device is not found 2. press f2 to change boot settings and i have tried every setting but it is not working and lastly 3. press f5 to run on board diagnostic and when i try that it says that hard drive is not detected i dont know what to do so I thought why not ask the creators of windows

Please  help me I study on my computer I don't have a phone I only have a computer which is now giving me the error of hard drive not found even though it is fine it is a 1TB hard drive. please help

    Hi there Pro, I will be your Independent Advisor for today, I hope we can both resolve your problem.

    It looks like you are having a hardware related problem. To confirm if the hard drive is not detected by the motherboard, please boot to the BIOS.

    To boot to the BIOS restart your computer and look for the prompt on how to boot to the BIOS, it can be F12. And then go to the Boot tab and see if your internal HDD is there. If not then I would suggest contacting the hardware manufacturer, as you may need to remove the hard drive and put it back in.

    Hi Ferds_N 

    I actually tried that f12 option it did go in the boot system and it was showing me like all the options and my hard drive name ST31000524NS and when I select it, it booted and showed me the windows logo and then it said that it is auto reparing then diagnosting and then it gave me the same error for hard drive not found.

    and you are like saying unplug and replug the hard drive my father did that and we started the computer but still it was showing the same error

    The onboard diagnostics said that they hard drive is not detected, it could mean an imminent harddrive failure.

    Since you have already unplug and replug, you may try to load the BIOS defaults.

    If that didnt work, try to create a Windows Media tool and see if you can Reset the hard drive. If the same problem happens still then you would need that replaced.

    It sounds like the hard drive is failing or failed. How old is the computer/hard drive and do you have a backup of your important files.

    Hard drives do fail and never last for ever and a backup is essential.

    I  cannot open my computer how will I install this and if I install this on my fathers mobile how will I run it?
