Do I need to download updated drivers to connect Apple Magic Keyboard with Windows 10 Enterprise laptop?

Hello

I have a Dell Precision laptop that is running Windows 10 Enterprise. I recently bought a bluetooth Magic Keyboard (Apple) that is giving me intermittent issues when I connect it to my Dell laptop (via Bluetooth). It works fine for 10-20 min and then suddenly the keys start repeating erratically and on their own . I then have to end up rebooting my laptop - and then everything works fine for 20 min - and then the same thing happens.

I believe I may need to download the latest drivers to address this compatibility issue ?

Also please note - I have connected a Dell 4K monitor to my laptop (so I have 2 screens). I doubt if having 2 screens is creating the problem.

    Hello

I checked out the line you shared. There is an option for Boot Camp Drivers update 2.2.

    https://support.apple.com/kb/DL967?viewlocale=en_SG&locale=en_SG

The section has the following disclaimer. Can you advise if this is what will work for me ? I'm using a Windows machine (running Windows 10 Enterprise). I think these drives are meant to be installed on a Mac machine ... Pls do let me know ..  thanks!

If you have an Intel-based Mac and there’s a PC application you need to use, you can run it using Boot Camp. You'll need to provide a copy of Microsoft Windows, but Boot Camp is included in Mac OS X Leopard. Setup is simple and straightforward — just as you’d expect with a Mac.

This update addresses issues with the Apple trackpad and turns off the red digital audio port LED on laptop computers when it is not being used. It also includes support for the Apple Magic mouse and wireless keyboard. It is intended only for use with Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Windows Vista running on a Mac computer using Boot Camp.

    Requirements

    • Boot Camp 2.1 must be installed prior to running this update
    • For Windows Vista, Windows Vista Service Pack 2 must be installed before running this update.
