Hi Pardeep,
Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.
I understand that your laptop lags while using it in battery mode. We appreciate your efforts in troubleshooting the issue and providing us the detailed information about the issue.
- What is the model number of the Dell PC?
Most of the laptops are configured to reduce power usage when not plugged into the power line and this is done to preserve the battery life and this issue could also be due to CPU being throttled down.
However you may try updating the Bios. It is important to keep your System BIOS up to date. Newer releases of BIOS can provide improvements to Hardware compatibility, improved Diagnostics, and Security updates and Increased stability. Once you have established that you require a BIOS update, you can download the newer version from the Dell support page www.dell.com/drivers.
You may want to look at the Installation instructions for the BIOS from How to Update Your System BIOS Within Windows.
Note: Modifying BIOS/ complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the configuring of BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk.
However, I suggest you get in touch with the Manufacturer of the computer and check for the available BIOS updates, as incorrectly updating BIOS might lead to computer being unusable.
