Hello!

How do I get Precision Touchpad on my Dell Laptop having Synaptics Touchpad? I have Synaptics touchpad driver v19.2.17.70

    Dell do not provide precision touchpad drivers for your Synaptics touchpad, but, try this version of the Synaptics drivers from the Lenovo support site to see if that adds back that functionality for you:

    Is there a way to get Precision Features without Precision Touchpad on Synaptics through maybe a Registry Alteration?

    I have used this method but the touchpad stops working when I install the driver. When I use update driver software, it updates to the Dell Touchpad and precision features work but stop working when I reboot or wake my PC from sleep. I don't know how but Earlier I had Precision Touchpad on the same Laptop.🙃

    Thanks for Responding. I have Inspiron 3542. Actually I had upgraded my PC Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 when Windows 10 was just released and Windows was offering a free upgrade to all. So I used Windows 10 till build 1803 but then I had to roll back to Windows 8.1 as my PC became slow and laggy then. At that time I had Precision Touchpad Support on my Laptop. But now I have upgraded my PC again and I don't have precision touchpad support. BTW I am running Windows 19041.508. I am able to use some 2 finger and 3 finger gestures but through the Dell Touchpad Application which is bad af and does not let me map gestures according to my needs. That's why I wrote so that I could get the Precision Support again.

    It depends, not all touchpads support the Precision Touchpad functionality in Windows 10 .. .

    What is the exact Model No. of your Dell laptop - that will be printed on a sticker on the bottom casing of your laptop . .
