How to decompress C: drive on windows 10 pro

Hi, I have compressed my C: drive on windows 10 pro without knowing it is not a good idea. Can anyone tell me how to decompress my C: drive because it is causing problems?

    Hi and thanks for reaching out! I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. Please allow me to assist with your issue.

    Before you do so, make sure you have some free disk space (at least 20% available), as decompressing files will start to consume disk space.

    From My PC, right click on C: and select Properties. Uncheck Compress this drive to save disk space and click Ok. You will be prompted for administrative rights to proceed, which you should grant.

    Some files might fail because it's locked by a system service or application. As this is expected, skip the file when prompted. Hopefully those files will be re-created automatically in future without compresson.
