When I try to change my lid options in my laptop, it says "some settings are managed by your system administrator". But the problem is that I am already logged in as the administrator. What can I do to fix this other than reinstalling windows.

The laptop model that I am currently using is the Aftershock Apex 15R Lite

    Hi seantan12,

    1. Press the Win key + R.
    2. Type gpedit.msc and then press enter.
    3. Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > All Settings.
    4. On the right pane, search "Select the lid switch action" (on battery) & (plugged in).
    5. Enable the two policies. (Note: If you enabled these policy settings, you must select the desired action)
    6. Please check the attached image below for reference.
    7. After setting these policies, perform a safe restart. (Recommended)

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let me know how it goes.

    Thank you!

    Sincerely,

    P. Blancaflor
