I am trying to download Firefox and the download file shows both Firefox installer and setup sitting there, but when I try to open either a Microsoft page pops up regarding switching out of S mode with no further instruction about what to do next. Would someone please advise me of the next steps in this process to finish installing Firefox. Thanks very much.

Hi! My name is Federico. I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you, I'll be glad to help you today.

Windows 10 in S mode does not allow the installation of Firefox or any other application outside the Microsoft Store. In order to install Firefox, Microsoft asks you to exit Windows 10 S mode. Once you have changed it, visit the Firefox download page and install it.

Well, in this case please try to download the Firefox installer from the link below:

Frederico, I've succeeded in finally getting Firefox on Windows 10. The magic word to getting through is "GET"

Thanks Federico for your prompt response. What you suggest I have tried many times. After exiting the 10 S mode page and revisiting the Firefox installer/setup sitting in the downloads section and trying to open it the same switch-out-of 10S mode page appears. Is the Firefox installer/setup download the Firefox download page you refer to? I have spent a lot of time at this and have gotten nowhere.
