Hi Horace,
I am Joseph. If this computer doesn't have a disk drive you should try installing Windows with a USB, follow those steps.
- Make sure you need to download Media Creation Tool here.
- Read the license terms.
- The Media Creation Tool asks what you want to do. Upgrade this PC now: Moves your existing files, settings and programs to Windows 10. Create installation media for another PC: Creates a Windows installation disk image.
- Select your language, architecture and edition, we recommend you to use Windows 10 Pro with English (United States) language and x64 architecture.
- The Media Creation Tool asks you to choose which media to use, we recommend you to install Windows on a USB.
- You have to select a USB memory stick (e.g. Kingston DataTraveler), the files on the memory stick will be gone.
- The download process may take some time, depending on your computer specs.
- Insert the USB in another computer.
- Press F12 to go to the Boot Manager, if you have a boot device, choose USB Storage Device.
- After you save changes, it will ask you to boot from USB. So press any key and it will take you to the Windows installation wizard.
- Click on "Next" then click on "Install Now".
- It will take you to the Aero-style setup, asking you to type your product key. If you have no product key, click "Skip".
- Read the license terms then check "I accept the license terms".
- The setup wizard asks what kind of installation you want, we recommend you to choose the "Custom (advanced)" option.
- It will ask where you want to install Windows, we suggest you to click "New" and choose Drive 0 Partition 2.
- The install process may take some time depending on your computer specs.
- After the install process, it will take you to the OOBE.
- Type your product key, we recommend you NOT to type the product key.
- Use your own settings, we recommend you to use express settings.
- Create your account for your PC.
- After the OOBE, you will see the first time screen.
So that's it! You have Windows installed, I will keep working with you until it's done.
Regards,
Joseph Vincent Bongo
