Correct Download Folders File path

My default download folder was Downloads in C: Drive I moved location to my Partioned I: drive for more space. I did not name it correctly and it appears in File explorerI

Hi Daniel

Open File Explorer

On your I drive, right click and create a new folder, and name it Downloads

Close File Explorer

Open the Registry Editor again, it will still be on the same page

Double click {374DE290-123F-4565-9164-39C4925E467B} then set its value data to this and click OK

I:\Downloads

Double click {7D83EE9B-2244-4E70-B1F5-5393042AF1E4} then set its value data to this and click OK

I:\Downloads

Close the Registry Editor and restart (not shut down) your PC

To tidy up, you will need to manually move some files form the I drive into that new downloads folder . . .

    This is a common error and can be easily fixed with a couple of registry edits

    Click your Start Button, type regedit and hit Enter to open the Registry Editor

    Click View and make sure 'Address Bar' is turned on

    Paste this into the Address Bar at the top and hit Enter

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

    Please post a screenshot of that Registry Editor page . ..
