    Hello M. A. Allawi,

Unfortunately you cannot check if those keys were genuine unless it is activated on the device. The wide price difference of those cheaper keys compared from the ones on the Official Microsoft Store suggests that those may be counterfeit.

Press Start then search Command Prompt.

Right click then run as administrator

    Type: slmgr.vbs /dlv

Please take a screenshot then post on your next reply

    Sincerely

    Hello John,

Welcome, and thanks for the answer, but my main question is: is there a way to check whether the key is geniun or fake?

As they have  saied that they buy the keys from companies been sold out, or broken companies and something like that.

    Thanks in advance. Be SAFE.

Any licence being sold at a very low price compared to the Microsoft price is very suspect. You buy a licence and not the key, if they are selling what they describe as keys from a business then they could be corporate keys not suitable for a personal user only in a company environment that uses an activation server (KMS). Also known as a volume licence.

They may activate initially but during the use of Windows 10 it constantly checks for invalid licence keys and will block them when identified. This can happen at any time or during updates.

There is no tool to identify/verify the key that is part of Microsoft's process via their activation server.

    Hello M. A. Allawi,

I'm John an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I'll be happy to assist you today.

Currently the price for Windows 10 Home - $139 and Windows 10 Pro - $199 from the official Microsoft Store. Those activation keys were way more cheaper and too good to be true. If you will purchase it directly from Microsoft, you will be getting a valid and genuine license. There's no guarantee that those activation keys that can be bought on a cheaper price from a local market were genuine. Probably the keys will work for a while but It might be blocked from use later by Microsoft when the key is reported stolen. It could be a pirated copy which will later have issues with activation.
