    Hi DaveM121,

I have this same issue on at least 7 devices ranging from brand new Dell Vostro 15 3000 laptops with the latest bios and drivers to HP Laptops using the Intel HD 520 and an even older Toshiba again using an intel driver.

They have all stopped working after the latest set of Windows updates and now either crash or simply do not recognise that an additional display has been connected.

    Any help greatly appreciated

    Alan

    Hi Dhruvin

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this . . .

That is the device driver on your Intel HD/UHD graphics, you should go to the support page for your PC on the manufacturers website, then form there, download and install the version of Intel HD/UHD graphics device driver they recommend . . .

Same issue here. I have external monitors running via DiosplayPort. Monitors only receive signal when I close the lid to my laptop. So I can run with 1 laptop screen or two external monitors but not both together.

I have the same problem as Alan. Computer will not detect 2nd monitor.

I have installed all the updates (Even the .NET one Dhruvin mentioned).

I am almost positive it is the driver on the computer, because the same problem occurs with two different HDMI cords and two different monitors.

I'm having a similar issue (possibly) with a new desktop setup. I have an HP Pavillion all in one and a second monitor. Intermittently (90% of the time, no noticeable pattern as of yet), when I wake the computer from hibernation or sleep, the second monitor wakes up and acts as the primary and only display.

Would love some fix for this....

    Cheers!

    Amy
