How to install latest iTunes on Win 7

So once again Microsoft screwed it's users by not playing nice with older versions of their own product. I refuse to move off Win 7 or Rhel 8 until I can raise enough for an entire new pc, the mother board is too old for Win 10 requirements. I can download older iTunes, Download iTunes 12.4.3 for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards), on either but I can't use my pc to make backups anymore. iTunes, right fully so, wants the latest version to update or backup my phone. Microsoft accounts can't download the latest version due to now being app only which requires Win 10. Apple blames Microsoft due to making it an app that isn't just available to anyone and Microsoft blames Apple for wanting updated software. I need a way to go around Microsoft and download the latest software without their bs app store mess.

Actually, the problem with downloading the latest (12.10.8.5) version of iTunes for Windows 7 is Apple's confusing and misleading download page.

If you go here:  https://www.apple.com/itunes/ you'll see a big "Get it from MICROSOFT" button which, as you've discovered, takes you to the Microsoft Store where the only available iTunes is an app that only works for Windows 10.

If you scroll down the page past the image of the laptop and below the line that says " Windows system requirements," you'll see a line that says, "Looking for other versions?  macOS > Windows >"

Click on the "Windows" link there and you'll get to a page with the following:

That screenshot was taken on a Windows 7 x64 system; I assume that if you were using 32-bit Windows 7, the big blue button would be for the 32-bit version and the other line would be "Looking for Windows 64-bit?"

    The direct download links are:

    64-bit iTunes:  https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/win64

    32-bit iTunes:  https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/win32
