Hello everyone, I am administrator on my PC and recently while changing some of the security settings (can't remember what I did) I disabled my right to run programs as administrator.

Now I just tried running windows powershell as admin and nothing happened and the same for cmd. Can anyone please help me. I am sure there is some setting I changed in the windows security section of windows 10.

    Hi Kevin,

I don't have any previous restore point so when I did what you suggested the laptop just restored today's settings.

    Hi Anita_A_835-

Thank you for your detailed response. Do you have system restore on your account ?

I would suggest to restore the changes on the date where the PC is working fine.

To do that press windows key and type : restore

    Click on create restore point.

    Click on System Restore.

    Click on Next

Select the restore point that you want to use on your computer.

Click the Scan for affected programs button.

    Click on Close.

    Click on Next.

    Click on Finish.

Once you complete the steps, System Restore will return your computer to the previous working state.

Hope this will help and have a bless day!

    Thanks.

    Hi Kevin,

I have checked all this, I made some change just recently prior to that I could run apps as admin, so the apps don't have a problem. Also I didnt change my status in my laptop so I am still an admin, but I did something else either in firewall or somewhere that just doesn't allow app to run as admin.
