See BulldogXX's reply and let me add the following:

As far as I'm concerned, the program that comes with Windows 10 is a poor choice. There are many other choices available, some by Microsoft, some by third-parties, some for sale and some free. They are almost all better than what comes with Windows 10.

I personally use and like Microsoft Outlook.exe (part of Microsoft Office, *not* Outlook.com). What I recommend is that you ignore my personal preferences or those of anyone else,; instead download, install, and try a few, then choose the one *you* like best.

Some people like to use web-base e-mail, and you should consider that choice also. However as far as I'm concerned, web-based e-mail is the worst possible way of doing it.

Actually, Windows 10 does not have a built-in email program. What is does have is the Mail app, which you can find here:

    Start menu > Mail

The mail app is a place where you can see all your online mail accounts - like GMail or Yahoo! Mail or Outlook.com, etc. - in one place. The alternative to the Mail app is to visit GMail, Yahoo! Mail and Outlook.com individually on the internet. (That's what I do.)

If you want to have an actual email program installed on your computer, you need to install Microsoft's Office Outlook, or Mozilla's Thunderbird, or any of the very many email programs that you can obtain from the internet.

Can't find it or it's not installed. How do you search the Start Menu?

    Hello Nhoj54,

I'm John an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I'll be happy to assist you today. I understand you want to access the e-mail program built into Windows 10.

Windows 10 comes with a built-in Mail app, You can open the app by pressing Start then search Mail. You can access all your different email accounts (including Outlook.com, Gmail, Yahoo!, and others) in one single, centralized interface.

You can refer to this support article on how to Setup Email in the Mail App for Windows 10.

Kindly let me know if this helps or if you have any further concerns.

    Sincerely

    John DeV

    Hello Nhoj54,

Thank you for updating me that information. I'm sorry it didn't resolve the issue.

**To search in the Start Menu

Click the Windows logo icon on the lower left of your screen or the taskbar.

Type Mail then try to click it to open the app.

To double check if Mail app is installed on your system, Click the Windows logo icon again then search Apps and Features

On the "Search this list" box, Search Mail

If you see Mail and Calendar then the app is currently installed on your system.

If not, open Microsoft Store then search Mail and Calendar

    Click Get or Install

Wait for the process to complete

    Restart your PC

    Launch Mail app again

If it doesn't work, Let's try to install Mail app via Powershell

Press Windows key on your keyboard + X

Select Windows Powershell (Admin) to run as administrator

Copy paste the command below then press enter

    Get-AppXPackage *windowscommunicationsapps* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

    Restart your PC

    Sincerely
