How Can I Use a Microphone on a Laptop That Doesn't Have a Microphone Jack?

I have a windows 10 laptop. For some reason there's no microphone jack, only a headphone jack and like 2 USB ports. How can I use a microphone when there's no place to connect it? If I have to buy an adapter I'm gonna be so pissed.

    Most modern laptops only have one 3.5mm port, that is a headset port and can take a headset with a microphone, you need to buy a small lead that will convert that port to headphones and Mic

    That lead is a 3.5mm 1 male to 2 female splitter as shown below, you can then connect your Mic to your laptop . . .

    Please Note, the plug end (indicated below) must have 4 metal rings, not 3
