How to get the path of windows store installed apps?

Hello,

I am having a hard time with my new laptop. I have a problem which many of the programs I run look horrible. The fix is to run programs made for previous versions of windows, select the program, troubleshoot, the programs opens... the program does not display correctly.

Now this is bad already that I need to do it for so many apps but even worse is that not all of my apps are on the list and I'm having a really bad time with one note with windows 10, I can't just right click it and find location as it is a windows 10 store installed app,

I tried many ways but failed. For example, I found WindowsApps folder but I can not access it (you don't currently have permission to access this folder)

and the simple fix the internet suggests me changing owner ships and such, like just selecting a user but nothing works, I'm denied everywhere.

et’s give permission to the folder and check if that helps. Follow these steps to give permissions to the drive.

a)      Right-click on the folder which you’re unable to access and select Properties.

b)      Click on ‘Security’ tab and under ‘Group or user names’ click on ‘Edit’.

c)       Click on ‘Add’ and type ‘everyone’.

d)      Click on ‘Check names’ and then click ‘OK’.

e)      Select ‘everyone’ and under ‘Allow’ select ‘Full control’ and click on ‘Apply’ and Click ‘Ok’.

Now this for example - I can't do that because I can't see "Under group or user" or "Edit" What I see is "You must have read permissions to view the properties of this object"

and it does not matter what I try to fix I just won't be able to get the path of one note for windows 10 to let the run programs made for previous versions of windows fix this annoying low res thing with my apps.

So my main question is, how can I get the dam location of one note for windows 10 in order to troubleshoot it????

Thanks

    Hi again,

It did work - And thank you a lot for that, but it didn't help to get the path of the onenote EXE..

I could not find it there.

After hours of hours of hours I managed to find this

    https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows10/comments/404kxx/where\_are\_windows\_store\_apps\_executable\_files/cyrq3ka/

    and that:

explorer.exe shell:AppsFolder\Microsoft.Office.OneNote_8wekyb3d8bbwe!microsoft.onenoteimSeemed to be it. Running it just fired up one note so I thought finally, went and put it on the run programs made for previous versions But it didn't work. AGAIN.

    Hi LazyLand

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this . . .

The WindowsApps folder is the most protected folder in Windows 10, that is to protect the integrity of Store Apps, if you change permissions on that folder, you will essentially brick Windows 10,all Store Apps and games will probably stop functioning

What is the actual difficulty you are experiencing with programs you run, you say they look horrible, can you please provide a couple of screenshots to demonstrate that, so I may understand the problem in more detail

Yes, System fully up to date. Drivers, windows, bios.

Yes, Res and scale are on recommend.

Yes, Fix scaling for apps is on.

Oh you mean setting the shortcut as the path.. Will try in a moment.

    Seems like its not possible.

Choosing an app which is not in the list gives you the option to enter a path or browse, so I browsed to  the desktop and chose one note (After setting it to all files instead of (.EXE) ) Because It did not show up there, and after choosing the one note short cut I got this. https://prnt.sc/usx5at

    Hi LazyLand

Well, from your screenshot, the original Speccy is very blurred and the fix you are using is resulting in a sharper UI on Speccy

Is your video card device driver up to date, if you right click your Desktop and choose Display Settings, is Resolution and Scale set to the recommended settings?

If you click Advanced Scaling Settings on that Settings page, is the option turned on to fix apps that appear blurry?

If you create a Desktop shortcut for OneNote, then right click and choose Properties, can you then set that to "run programs made for previous versions of windows" from the compatibility tab?

    Wait, what?

But I saw other people guiding to go to windowsapps.

So the problem is that apps run low res. For example, Speccy, A program which I use to see the specs and temps of my computer ran low res and blurry before I did that thing with the troubleshoot

For OneNote it's not that bad but I think It does has that problem as well. I do feel like is should look more, crisp.

The problem still persists in areas which I have NO idea or hope to fix. For example when I tried to open window apps after a few tabs and advanced some of the tabs opened has the problem of looking low res as well.

Example: https://prnt.sc/usw9hm Notice how the right tab is more blurry?

Or better: Speccy before and after using the "run programs made for previous versions of windows "

    Before: https://prnt.sc/uswaoh

    After: https://prnt.sc/uswai6

Anyway, So I want to run the fix on onenote and the whiteboard but it's very hard to get them because they don't show app in the list and the only other way is their path which as said I failed to get
