I keep getting unrequested verification codes sent to my phone number?

I have checked recent activity (only saw my own activity) and everything else suggested. I would like to know where this person is trying to access my account from. Its been 4-5 days and I keep getting verification codes sent to my phone, makes me feel uneasy that someone is trying to gain access to my account. And who knows, if they keep on trying they might succeed if nothing is done. I have tried to reach a live person, and even managed to talk to a person but then was put on hold for several hours without anyone answering.

Hi, I'm Elise, an independent advisor and I'd be happy to help with your issue.

The most likely reason for this, is that someone is trying to access your account, this will probably be because the password you are using was re-used on another website which has had a data breach.

I would suggest changing your password to prevent this happening again.

    Kind Regards,

    Elise

    Hi Elise,

Yesterday I changed the password on all of my accounts. But today I am still getting verification codes sent to my phone. What is there to do next? I can provide my phone number if it helps find out where the login attempts are coming from. Pretty much all microsoft programmes/services are tied to this phone number, and therefore its hard for me to pinpoint where they are trying to login.

It is pretty impossible to say unfortunately, if you have more than one Microsoft account I can only advise that you change the password on all of these. I can't access your account or anything like this, as everyone on here is independent from Microsoft.

    Kind Regards,

    Elise
