The full path to the Snipping Tool is %windir%\system32\SnippingTool.exe

    %windir% typically is C:\Windows

In a default installation of Windows 7, it's very difficult to delete, move, or rename snippingtool.exe  If you try, you'll see this:

It's built in.  If you cannot find it:

    1. Click the start button (bottom left)
    2. Type snip into the text box that pops up
    3. Click on Snipping tool in the list that pops up.

I have the same problem.  In that i have inherited a Windows 7 laptop, and it does not have the snipping tool, or at least it doesn't load when i try the actions like entering 'snip' or snipping tool' in the search bar.

If you still have problems after following Canadian Tech's advice ...

Please explain what you mean by "no longer working."

Please include the complete text of any error message related to this problem.

Please explain what happened to your system shortly before this problem started.  For example,
