How do I turn off the Caps Lock Notification?

I just bought a new Dell with Windows 10 Pro.  It has this annoying feature of popping up a caps lock notification no matter what program I'm using.  I tried using these directions I found on how to turn it off, but I don't see a screen configuration tab at the end of these instructions, so I think my system is a little different.  I find these feature really annoying and distracting, so any help would be appreciated!  Thanks.

  1. Press the Windows key on the keyboard and select Settings.
  2. Click System.
  3. Choose Display and click Advanced display settings.
  4. Scroll down and select Display adapter properties.
  5. Click on Screen configurations tab.

    Hi Chris

    I do not recognize that specific on-screen indicator . . .

Click your Start Button, then just type mobility

Open the Mobility Center from the resulting list, is there an option to turn off the Caps Lock indicator there?

If not, is there specific software installed on your PC for your keyboard, if so, open that and work through the settings to see if there is an option to turn off that on-screen indicator . . .

This same thing just happened to me after owning my surface pro for months! I have not recently downloaded any new software, I've been using the same keyboard as when I bought the surface. Please help!

    Hi Chris,

Check your Start Menu or in Settings - Apps to see if there is specific software installed for the KM7120W peripherals, I think that is what is generating that on-screen keyboards, if you find that software, you can uninstall it . . .

Nothing comes up when I type Mobility Center.  I added a wireless dell keyboard and mouse KM7120W, but I'm not sure if it added software when I was installing it.  I don't see anything for it under Apps.  I'm lost.

Try the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center. If it is not installed, download and install it.

Open the KB settings and disable the Caps Lock at the bottom of the list.
