MyAsus battery health charging

I've recently come across a problem with the battery health charging setting intergrated inside the MyAsus app. I've set it to maximum lifespan mode which only allows the battery to be charged up to 60%, but for some reason everytime i restart or shutdown my laptop while plugged in, the battery keeps charging up to 100%, any clues on how to fix this? I've had MyAsus since i purchased this laptop and had no issues whatsoever but recently this problem started, I have tried uninstalling the app and re installing it a couple times but the issues won't get fixed. Thanks in advance if anyone can help me out with this.

Hi, I've been having the exact same problem as them, MyAsus worked fine until recently when I have to keep manually reselecting maximum lifespan mode whenever I turn the laptop on or it will charge itself to 100% automatically. I reinstalled MyAsus but it has not fixed anything, I tried to install the latest ATK package but could not find it on the Asus page for a Asus TUF 505GM on Windows 10 64-bit. I found some installs on a few 3rd party website but when I tried to install the latest 1.0.0061 version I get an error "Unable to install because the setup is not applicable to your computer." for every single ATK Package I try to download that is the latest version. I tried going on youtube for a solution to the error but they do not work for me.

MyAsus used to work fine for me, no problem just plugging it in and automatically having the battery limited to 60%, now there's so many problems and I hope you can help

    Hi Brian

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this . . .

There is no setting in Windows that will override the settings in the Asus Battery Health Charging utility, this seems to be a known issue with that utility

From the Asus forums, uninstall that utility and the ATK utility, then re-install the ATK utility and then the Asus Battery Health Charging utility

Then set battery charge to 80%, restart (not shut down) your laptop, then set your preferred percentage

If that does not fix this problem, it is best to contact Asus support, because this error is specific to their utility . . .

Sorry but what i meant was not the Asus Battery Health Charging utility, it's the MyAsus app in which the Battery Health Charging is present not the independent app.
