How-to share windows apps with family

Hi,

I would be interested in sharing windows 10 (store) apps with my son. Both of us have and use a Microsoft Account, and I have created a family group. I purchased an app using the store and installed it on my account.

Using my sons account, the app isn't installed - so far so good - but it is also not available for installation through the store.

How can I share the app with my family?

Please help.

    Hi, I am Van. I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I'll be glad to help you today.

    As far as I'm aware of there is no option to directly share your apps to your family on your MS account settings. The one that I do is login my MS account into the MS store on my child's account or profile on her device. then download and install the app. after the app has been installed on her machine. I logout my account from the store and sign back in her account to the store so she cannot use my account if she wants to purchase any app.

    I have found this article which likely the same as the one that I did. Might as well read this out to have a better picture of the scenario

    If you are using the same PC. If you install the app in the PC using your account. The app should also be available to any user using the same PC

    Please ignore the last part of my statement. I just did a double-check and the apps are not available to any user if you install it on the same machine. The one that I refer to is the apps installed outside of the MS store. Please accept my apologies for this part.
