I just bought a new Microsoft Sculpt keyboard and mouse.
The mouse and number pad are working fine but the keyboard isn't. I check the drivers and it says the device is working but i'm not getting any response from it.
I checked the batteries, they are fine and a little green light appears between the spacebar keys. But I can't type anything on the keyboard.
My laptop is upt to date, I have reinstalled and restarted my PC.

I have already returned it as it appears it was just faulty.
Hey Neil,
Tried all of those things. Seems to be an issue specific to the keyboard. The number pad and mouse both work.
Think i'll be sending them back to the supplier for a replacement.

Nate
Hi, my name is Neil, I'm an independent adviser and a Windows 10 user like you.
Sorry you're having trouble with your new Sculpt keyboard.
I would try uninstalling the keyboard and then reinstalling it.
If you Right Click your windows Start button and then click on Device Manager.
Click on the arrow next to >Keyboards and then right click your keyboard and choose "Uninstall device".
Once uninstalled, close Device Manager and reboot your computer. Your computer will reinstall the keyboard as it reboots.
However, I would also install the proper software for your Sculpt keyboard (if not already) which contains the drivers needed. It can be found here: https://www.microsoft.com/accessories/en-us/pro...
Click on Downloads (underneath where it says "Free shipping. Free returns. At Microsoftstore") to download the Mouse and Keyboard Center 11.
Let me know how you get on.
Oh Ok Nate.
It is possible that you have a faulty keyboard. Especially seeing as the mouse and number pad are working fine.
I hope you get a swift replacement!
Neil
