Hi Jayson,
I really appreciate your assistance (& sorry for the delay) but I still cant get it to work.
I'm trying to remember how I got the video recordings onto the DVD-R. I had a lot of videos of my kids, our wedding and other family events on VHS so I think I used it to get it onto the DVD's as I still have the VHS as well and they seem to match based on dates written on the front but I cant really be sure as it was a long time ago. I know we did have a video camera but I think that was what I used to get it onto the VHS but once again, I cant be sure. Then later I think we got a still camera that had a video option and had a type of SD card in it (I think it was called a PowerShot).
Because I cant see the information on the DVD's, it means I cant see the file type or extension.
My husbands laptop is also using Windows 10 but I noticed it has a different program for media which is called Cyberlink Power Media Player 14 so I'm not sure if that would be better to use then VLC.
When I used the VLC, I keep getting an error saying "Playback failure...DVD read could not read... /1-4 blocks at 0x69d3f." IT offers another pop up window that gives me the option of "Overwrite" or "Keep exisiting file" but the only option that works is overwrite. Then it just deletes it and does the same thing again. The DVD I tried this on has three menu items as it was a bunji jump, race car drive and sky diving. When I tried to follow the instructions on my kids DVD's, it wouldn't even find them.
Thanks, Kim
