I have run the app troubleshooter. uninstalled the app, and restarted the machine, reinstalled the app. cleared the cache, and checked for any available updates. This all seemed to happen after the latest windows 10 update forced itself into my desktop.
Sudoku won't load
For the past few days, I have been unable to play Microsoft Sudoku. When I click on the Sudoku icon it opens the first screen, never advancing or loading the app. I have attempted to reset the app, clear the cashe, and unistall/reinstall to no avail.

2020-10-18T01:41:58+00:00 I tried the PowerShell fix, as directed in the link you directed me to. this did not solve the problem. Even to the extent of going back into app properties afterword and attempting another reset.
I have not done a full system reinstall as you second link recommends. As this is the only app not functioning there should be a fix not quite so drastic as to have to do a full reinstall and then all of the associated updates I would hope.
Thank you for your efforts,
I fear I will just be a Frustrated sudoku player

Follow these steps to repair the Microsoft Store:
- launch powershell
- Set-ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted
- Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
Check the link to better understand how to execute the commands:
Then, restart your system to make sure any changes take effect.
