Tesco Connect Tablet 10" power fail in recovery mode
Hello,
I'm having troubles with Tesco Connect tablet 10" , during recovery process my tablet turned off ( it run out of power, although It was connected via usb to my desktop PC.. but I suspect not sufficient power form this socket) anyway now windows 10 is part installed and I tries to boot, till error message appears, saying installation has encountered unexpected error and it asking me to reboot and start fresh installation again.
Now tablet is in loop.
I've tried to force recovery mode again but tab is not responding to power button + vol up It just continues to boo as normal.
so I've prepared usb stick to install fresh win10 (I downloaded latest win10 version I created bootable usb with rufus as I do for my PC.)
Problem is I can't force this tablet to boot from this usb...
I create win10 installation with different ways /options in rufus but still ends up same way, looks like tablet recognizes usb stick and it tries to boot up but with no success...
Is there any way to force this tablet to boot ? I checked created usb isntalation on my Desktop Pc and it works fine so I know it's good.
any suggestions or ideas will be appreciated
Thank you :)

2020-10-29T16:58:47+00:00 WHAT DO YOU NEED
USB keyboard
USB memory stick (at least 8 GB)
USB splitter cable or hub (you will need to connect the memory stick and the keyboard simultaneously)
Tesco Connect 7 "tablet with Windows 8.1 (only £ 99)
STEP 1. DOWNLOAD WINDOWS 10 ISO
Go to the Windows 10 or MSDN download page to download the ISO. Be sure to download the 32-bit / x86 flavor - the Tesco tablet does not support 64-bit / x64.
STEP 2. PREPARE A WINDOWS 10 UEFI INITIALIZABLE USING RUFUS
To install Windows 10, you will need to prepare a bootable USB stick. There is already a good guide here. Be sure to create the bootable UEFI - it is the only method that will work on the Tesco device.
STEP 3. COPY NETWORK AND TOUCHSCREEN DRIVERS TO THE USB STICK
Windows 10 does not come with the network, sound and touchscreen drivers you need.
Before doing anything:
Boot the tablet into Windows 8.1
Mount the USB stick
Copy C: \ Windows \ System32 \ DriverStoretversely. It contains all the drivers you need
STEP 4. START WITH EFI SHELL
Before you start, make sure that the USB memory stick and the USB keyboard are connected.
On the Windows 8.1 desktop, swipe from the right to open the Charms Bar and click on “Settings”:
In the settings panel, click on “Change PC settings”:
In the PC settings, click on “Update and recover”:
Under "Advanced startup", click "Restart now":
STEP 5. START INSTALLING WINDOWS 10
Once inside EFI Shell, select “Use a device”:
Choose "UEFI: Removable device". After a short delay, the installation of Windows 10 will begin.
STEP 6. FOLLOW THE WINDOWS 10 INSTALLATION STEPS
From now on, the touchscreen will not work. You will need to use the connected keyboard (and, optionally, a mouse) for all inputs.
On the first screen, set your language and keyboard preferences. Values don't matter.
You're almost at the point of no return! If you follow the next step, you will not be able to restore the original installation of Windows 8.1 without performing an operating system restore from the installation media.
To continue, you will need to delete all existing partitions. Select each partition at a time and click Delete.
When you are finished deleting partitions, you will have 29.1 GB of unallocated space:
Highlight unallocated space and click "New". Assign all available space to the partition (29,823 MB) and click "Apply":
The Windows 10 installer will actually create four new partitions. Highlight the largest (Partition 4) and click "Next". The installation of Windows 10 will begin.
After about 15 minutes, you will see the screen below. You can choose custom options if you like, but I chose "Use express settings".
Not long after, the installer will take you to the Windows 10 home screen.
STEP 7. INSTALL DRIVERS
You will quickly notice that the sound, the network and the touchscreen do not work. To fix this, access the Control Panel. Find “System and Security” and click on the “Device Manager” icon:
Where Windows does not have the correct drivers, you will find several devices with errors, indicated by exclamation points:
For each of these devices with an error, follow these same steps:
Right-click on the device, select "Properties" and then "Update driver":
When asked “How do you want to search for driver software?”, Select “Search my computer for driver software”:
Choose "Search for driver software in this location" and specify the location of the backup driver you created in Step 3 (hint: it will be on your USB memory stick). Check "Include subfolders" and click "Next".
Windows will buzz for a while and install the missing driver.
Repeat the above process for all devices with an error. Don't forget about “System devices” - there are several there too.
That's it! You now have a fully functional Windows 10 tablet! Enjoy!
