Dolby 5.1 AC3 decoder for windows 10

Vegas pro video editing have migrated sound drivers to windows 10 in their latest versions (so they say) as such all videos with AC3 surround sound do not play on windows 10, anyone knows of an AC3 decoder / driver for windows 10? I do not want another player, just a decoder I can add to windows 10 system

Hi Lilian,

Many thanks for such a prompt reply. It seems that it might be the right solution albeit a bit old.

I have checked AC3Filter and apparently it comes bundled with Malware OpenCandy which according to

is undesirable for my workstation, I cannot take any risks of slowing my system down and having data farmed from it.

Never the less a very good pointer, so thank you

Downloaded and installed AC3Filter lite which doesn't include OpenCandy, unfortunately made no difference to Vegas Pro silence playback. :-(
