Why my PC is not compatible to upgrade to Win 11 despite my CPU belongs to the list of supported CPU?

HI,

I've used PC Health Checker to verify if my system is compatible for Win 11 upgrade from Win 10.
Everything seems OK except my Intel Core i5-7400 ******@3.Ghz CPU which belongs to the list of my Windows 10 Version 21H1 for x64-based Systems.
Please advise.
Thanks,
Peter

    Hi there,

Yes, only 8th generation processors are supported for Windows 11. This is been specified by the PC manufacturers for improved security and performance. It seems i5-7400 is not on the list of supported processors.

I think Microsoft have to/must review the supported processors...the current list would cut off too many devices and not everybody agree to spend money to use windows 11
