I have an old Toshiba laptop that i did a windows xp reinstall and i now need to activate. I have the original windows xp product key from the sticker on the computer, from which i got a installation id. I tried to do phone activation but it was refused. I try to talk directly to a person at Microsoft and they were no help at all, all they were interested in was for me to upgrade to windows 10.

How can i get this product activated ?.

Bryan.

    We don't work for Microsoft.

When Microsoft ended support for XP, they were quick to  say we will continue to re-activate XP if you have to reinstall, etc..

But over the last few years they seem to have dodged the issue and deleted the links about this.

Contact them by one of these methods and keep contacting them until they do sort it out for you.

You don't buy product keys by themselves.

And XP has not been legally sold for years.
