I know that the i7-5820K does not have official support.
No TMP 2. If yes. What's the risk?

    Hello @Kamil ,

    Thank you for your question.

The update for windows 11 has been released for most users and for most existing processors. The exact risk we don't know, but I could suggest a slowness problem, precisely because of the processor generation, which is old, but that doesn't mean that you can't use windows 11 normally.

In addition, as your problem is related to windows 11, I recommend that you post your question also on the windows 11 forum, so a team of this new system will answer you with all the details possible to resolve your question.

To do this, access the link below and select the option "Ask a question" from the top menu and describe your entire problem:

    Hello,

Unfortunately, this processor is not compatible for Windows 11, according to Microsoft.

Please check with official Windows 11 list of supported processors: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/design/minimum/supported/windows-11-supported-intel-processors

You can drop a feedback to Microsoft about this, using Feedback hub app.

Additionally, TPM 2.0 seems to be minimum requirements for Windows 11.

    Regards.

Win 11 works fine on the i7-5820k. You need to install and enable a TPM 1.2 module specific to your motherboard. You need to be using UEFI boot mode with secure boot. If using legacy boot, which was still a common default at the time, you'll need to use the mbr2gpt tool in Win 10 to convert and make the BIOS change.

After that you set the registry key to skip checking for TPM 2.0 and CPU minimum requirements (TPM 1.2 still required). Then download the Win 11 ISO from Microsoft, as the download assistant or the windows upgrade features don't respect the registry key. Double click the ISO to mount it, and run the installer to do the Win 11 upgrade. You'll have to agree that Microsoft tells you that they don't recommend what you're doing, you might cause a time loop paradox that destroys the universe, etc. Good luck
