Projecting iPhone to Windows 10 Laptop

Hi,

I’ve recently found out that there’s an option to project my phone to my laptop.

I’ve had a look on YouTube and there aren’t any helpful videos based on projecting an iPhone screen to my laptop screen. These are my settings for this, below:

So what I do notice is when I open up the “Connect” app on my laptop, and then go into my iPhone WiFi settings, there’s an option to connect to my laptop! (This option only appears after I open up the Connect app on my laptop)!

Here is what the WiFi option says (of course I’ve scribbled out the part of the WiFi name that has my Laptop’s name in):

    Hello, how are you?

    Welcome to the Microsoft community!

My name is Paloma B., I'm an independent advisor, I'm here to help you in the best possible way.

I understand that you would like to share your iPhone screen on your Windows computer.

In this case you must use the AirPlay function on your iPhone.

However, your computer must be compatible with Miracast reception so that you can connect directly via AirPlay on your cell phone.

The Cellphone and the Computer must be connected on the same network.

If your computer does not support Miracast reception, you can search for a third party program like LonelyScreen and try it out.

Just install it on your computer, connect the 2 devices on the same network, and on the iPhone access AirPlay and connect to the computer, so your screen will be shared.

Note: This is a non-Microsoft website. The page appears to be providing accurate, safe information. Watch out for ads on the site that may advertise products frequently classified as a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Products). Thoroughly research any product advertised on the site before you decide to download and install it.

    I await news.

It was nothing Theo, it is a pleasure to try to help you.

That's right, computers with the available technology are already installed.

Go to Windows > Settings > System > Projecting on this computer.

If it is not available you will be notified on this screen, or it may be just disabled.

If it appears that it is not available, you can search for third party tools like I said above, which will be able to mirror your iPhone screen on the computer.

    I await news.

If these procedures helped you in any way, please click on "I solved my problem" and also mark as an answer, so you can help others users.

    Thank you for replying Paloma!

Is “Miracast reception” already installed on my computer or do I need to download that?

I don’t seem to be able to connect with AirPlay.

    Thank you for the help.
