Google Home app

I have migrated my Nest account to Google and now I can't sign into it. It appears I need the Google Home App but when I try to down load it it says I don't have a device attached. I need to use playstore on my device. But my Nest account is with a gmail address and the playstore is using a different email address. Any suggestions?

    Hi SandraSchaffer1

Google Home is an android app and will not work on windows 10, the reason you get the "no device attached" message is because it is looking for a phone or other android device to install to.

to access you Nest devices from windows 10 use your google account to sign in to the Nest.com site.

if you use edge you can save the site as an app, so that you can access it without first launching the browser.

in edge, navigate to nest.com the click the ellipsis (...) and select apps

click "install this site as an app"

Note: Nest.com is a non-Microsoft website. The page appears to be providing accurate, safe information. Watch out for ads on the site that may advertise products frequently classified as a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Products). Thoroughly research any product advertised on the site before you decide to download and install it.
