I have looked in the Q & A section & have yet to find out what OOBE create elevated object server means. ?? As soon as I turned my computer on, it was mandatory that I install it, I wasn't even able to open my browser. Also wasn't able to do anything else until the update was finished. I could not find out who it came from until later, after I'd installed it. I don't like the way this was done & I've never seen anything like this. Now I'm extremely concerned about this lap top's security.  ???

you still did not answer any of my questions. Exactly what does this program do & why did this pop up on my computer the minute I turned it on? As I said I was unable to even verify the sender, nor was I allowed to investigate?  I had not even signed in yet. In other words, I had no choice, I HAD to download this program before I could even get to my computer.

    Thank you

I don’t know 100% specifically what the component does, other than it ‘finishes’ the setup process after an update. There are quite a few other users reporting a similar issue.

    Kind Regards,

    Elise

funny, but I wasn't given any time to give it permission. & again, I still have no clue to what this does, nor have I ever heard about it. But that's OK. You have your secrets & I have mine

It is a component of the Windows setup process, it complete setup after an upgrade or installation. That is the reason it came up as soon as you switched the PC on.

As I said, you usually shouldn’t even seen this message, as the process is usually handled in the background. It isn’t downloading anything, it is just prompting asking your permission to run the service.

    Kind Regards,

    Elise

Hi, I'm Elise, an independent advisor and I'd be happy to help with your issue.

It is part of the update process, you usually aren’t shown this message unless there was some sort of issue. There isn’t anything to be concerned about security wise, and if there are no issues with the running of your PC then I wouldn’t be concerned either.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

    Kind Regards,

    Elise
