Epson Event Manager - Windows 10

I just bought a new Epson Workforce Pro WF-3820. To work the scanner I need the appropriate Epson Event Manager on my Dell laptop with Windows 10. Event Manager just will not work on my computer. I've already right-clicked on the folder to which I want the scans to go and checked the box "Replace all child object permissions with inheritable permissions from this object, and then click Ok." from an earlier post.  This corrected one error: the scanner now picks up my computer. But it then does not scan. I assume this is due to the lack of the Event Manager. Help! Thank you!

I want to add that we can scan with a USB cable, but we'd like to do it with our WiFi but that is what does not work.

    Hi Amy,

I am Sumit, an Independent Advisor and a 3 year Windows Insider MVP here to help.

The printer is compatible with Windows 10 so there should be no problems.

Have you tried installing Scan Smart?

Here is a link of Event Manager:

You may also try to install thee AIO package installer:

    https://ftp.epson.com/drivers/WF3820_Lite_NA.exe

    Hi,

I have a different model of Epson and I do not need the "Event Manager" you mention..

There were all kinds of various tools and driver packages available for it, and at first I installed them all..

It turned out that most was unneeded and unwanted..

I ended up using the  Standalone Print Driver, and the Standalone Scanner Driver which also included the Scan Utility... This is the equivalent of what I used, but for the driver section of Epson's page for your model.. I would think that this is all you should need..

Thanks. I checked and Scan Smart is already installed. I also tried downloading event manager many times, working with an Epson tech and it didn't work. Thus the USB solution!

Thank you! I have Scan 2 Utility already installed but don't see the other two. Will check them out tomorrow.
