Windows 10 throwing errors of system32 DLL files and some parts of system are not reachable, probably after update.

Hello MS,

I need help with your system.

Probably after some update, Windows are loading much slower, and after the start usually throws one or few errors.

Errors say that some DLL file located in Windows\System32 folder (like werui.dll) is corrupted.

Also when I try to open Display settings or Personalize from the context menu on Windows desktop, I receive

"This application cannot run on this computer".

Also when I open Save as dialog, the whole system freezes for a moment and sometimes the main panel disappears for a few seconds.

My computer is Dell XPS 15 7590 (i7-9750H, 32GB RAM, GeForce GTX 1650), it's new and powerful.

I did only a few updates of Windows, but last week it started to go crazy.

I created a recovery point after problems started not before.

Thank you for helping me to solve these issues.

DK

When I booted from USB I did not find the option to keep personal files, only to install a clean system after selecting a drive.

I tried to run the reinstall by opening USB in Windows and running setup.exe, and I found "Keep personal files", but after I launched the process of reinstallation after some minutes it throws an error and nothing changes.

So I also tried to do a Factory reset from Settings, there is also an option to keep personal files, but it failed with a different error too.

My question is, when I reinstall clean Windows from that USB, will I lose all Dell stuff (drivers, tools, apps) on my laptop?

EDIT: I used an option to reset a bit copy of the system in Dell laptop.

DISM with /CheckHealth also returns an error, the same as I stated before:

The file DismCore.dll does not appear to be a valid DLL.

Ensure that the file has not been corrupted.

Ok you may need to use DISM repair first then try again:

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

    Kind Regards,

    Thank you for your answer.

    The first step: DISM.exe ....

is not working, it returns to me:

    Error: 193

The file DismCore.dll does not appear to be a valid DLL.

Ensure that the file has not been corrupted.

The seconds step sfc /scannowis running now and I will let you know about the result.

    EDIT: This is result:

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.

For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at

windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline

repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag.
