I have my mic plugged in. Its using a split connecter, for the mic, and headset. I can hear perfectly fine, and windows detects both the mic and the headset. keep in mind the mic is apart of the headset. I have tried everything with the wires, and nothing works. I can hear, but cant talk. Apps cant detect my voice, but windows detects that I have a microphone in the sound settings. Its not my headset, as it works perfectly fine on other devices. My windows is fully up to date. But I cant seem to find any way to fix this issue. Please help me fix this as I cant play with anyone without having to use my iPad to talk.

    Hello Nathan, how are you?

    My name is Lílian, I am an independent consultant. I'm very happy to help.

    In this scenario, where the Microphone does not work after performing dualboot, I recommend that you apply the following procedures below:

    Method 1

    Allow access to the microphone

    1. On the desktop, press the Windows + R keys, type: ms-settings: privacy-microphone and click OK;
    2. Enable the option to Allow applications to access your microphone;
    3. Restart the equipment.

    Method 2

    Troubleshooting audio

    1. Right-click on the sound icon on the toolbar and select the Solve Sound problems option;
    2. Wait for problems to be detected and follow the next steps suggested for correction;
    3. Restart the system.

    Method 3

    Roll back driver

    1. On the desktop, press the Windows + X keys and select Device Manager;
    2. Check the drivers in Sound, video and game controllers and in Audio inputs and outputs, right click on and select Properties> Click Revert driver (if available);
    3. Restart the computer and check the problem for persistence.

    Method 4

    Update driver

    1. On the desktop, press the Windows + X keys and select Device Manager;
    2. Check the drivers in Sound, video and game controllers and in Audio inputs and outputs, right click on and select Properties> Click Update Driver;
    3. Click on the option Browse my computer for driver software> Allow me to choose from a list of available drivers on my computer;
    4. Test with the available options and check for failure.

    Method 5

    Reinstall device audio driver

    1. On the desktop, press the Windows + X keys and select Device Manager, check the drivers listed in Sound, video and game controllers and in Audio inputs and outputs, remove the installed driver (right button and click uninstall);
    2. Access the download page according to the architecture of your system: [32 Bits] or [64 bits], check the box I accept to the above and enter your email address:
    3. Download the file through the link received and run the downloaded file, the computer must restart once to uninstall the current driver and once to install the updated driver;
    4. Restart the system and test the microphone.

    If these procedures helped you, please click on "I solved my problem" and also mark as an answer, so you can help other people.

    I am happy to help you, I invite you to participate in the evaluations, thank you.
