how to know if my windows genuine or not ?

To check if it is genuine, click on windows + r to open run dialog box, on there type slmgr.vbs /dli

It should say the name description ( it should show retail/ oem key or MAK) And the license status and partial product key only. The license status should be licensed

however if it says expiration date or Key management service (KMS) or the message is very large, It means that you used an activator and it is fake/pirated/cracked.

To make sure it's real, go to settings (or windows + i) system > activation. If it says activated it most likely is real.

To make sure your license is valid and your Windows is Genuine, you have to make sure your purchase it from authorized seller. In case you scan it with Anti-Malware, in the pirate version you will find some hacktools.

There is no such official method to check genuineness of Windows.

However, if you got your license from Microsoft Store, authorized reseller or authorized OEM, it must be genuine.

There are more methods to pirate or crack Windows.

The ability to distinguish a genuine versus pirated version has become harder.

Many pirated or cracked versions can be identified however I've not found a 100% reliable method.

In other forums piracy and crack were regularly checked.

Newer detection methods were used and when these threads were reviewed there were many missed pirated versions.

If you find a method that is 100% reliable please post the information.
