    Hi VanessaRoque1,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community :)

It's my pleasure to help you today.

I’m sorry you’ve had to deal with this.

Blue screens are generally caused by problems with your computer’s hardware or issues with its hardware driver software. Sometimes, they can be caused by issues with low-level software running in the Windows kernel. Regular apps usually won’t be able to cause blue screens.

here are some additional tips that might help you deal with blue screens:

Use System Restore: If your system recently started blue-screening, use System Restore to roll its system software back to a previous state.

Scan for Malware: Malware that digs deep into Windows and gets its hooks into the Windows kernel at a low level can cause system instability. Scan your computer for malware to ensure buggy malicious software isn’t causing it to crash.

Install Updated Drivers: An incorrectly installed or buggy driver can lead to crashes. Download the latest drivers for your computer’s hardware from your computer manufacturer’s website and install them — this may fix BSODs caused by driver problems.

Boot Into Safe Mode: If your computer is blue-screening every time you turn it on, try booting into safe mode. In safe mode, Windows loads only the essential drivers. If a driver you’ve installed is causing Windows to blue screen, it shouldn’t do so in safe mode. You can work on fixing the problem from safe mode.

Check for Hardware Problems: Blue screens can be caused by faulty hardware in your computer. Try testing your computer’s memory for errors and checking its temperature to ensure that it isn’t overheating. If that fails, you might need to test other hardware components—or hire a pro to do it for you.

Reinstall Windows: Resetting Windows—or performing a clean install—is the nuclear option. It will blow away your existing system software, replacing it with a fresh Windows system. If your computer continues to blue screen after this, you likely have a hardware problem.

    I hope it helps :)

    hello,

My friends HP tower started going to blue screen repeatedly. Out of nowhere it would go to bluescreen and restart. I tried to recover/restart and then---------------DEAD or in restore mode for days with nothing coming up on screen for options to boot mode. Created Microsoft repair key and those solutions but again, just nothing with lights flashing off n on by power button and amber light flickering. Tried F12 and blah blah so on and so forth. Nothing ! Tell him to get new HP, new HD or take to repair guy person ? he like sit cause he was able to install 2 disc drives with slots. Benefit also being upright and not slimline loading sideways, and he doesn't have room to be putting tower sideway underneath desk. A 76 year old man and don't want him spending and wasting money. HP  PC just totally wrecked with HD and software or processor ??  Won't reset or recover doing all sorts of steps according to Microsoft. Simply nothing coming up on screen pressing any key using USB repair recover boot and whatever. What do you think ?? Take it to professional or just find some sort of upright refurbished with 2 drawers, but he want to still save and use the DVD drives he bought personally and installed a few years back. I saved all files to a USB external 1TB drive. Push the old guy to get new fresh PC tower at low costs ? Repair one he has? Tell him to buy new HD and install it himself?
