How do I find my old thread about CCleaner? Windows 10

It's that time of the year when cleverbridge / Piriform Software Ltd pester me with email reminders to renew my subscription to CCleaner Professional.

They say "Your CCleaner Professional subscription is coming to an end in 29 days.

To ensure your premium features continue without interruption, your account will be billed 15 days in advance of your current subscription expiry.

Your CCleaner Professional will be automatically renewed at £19.95".

These would be most helpful reminders if I had a paid-for subscription but I don't. I have the free version.

Piriform (the maker of CCleaner) was bought by Avast in July 2017; there were a few problem incidents reported as a result and I think it was Julia (@Ṣmeed)  who posted an alert that the new CCleaner wasn't something for 'amateur' users (such as me).

I will be making a formal complaint to Guy Saner, Piriform's CEO, about these lies. If I don't get satisfaction from him/his team, I will complain to the Advertising Standards Agency and similar UK bodies. Piriform shouldn't be allowed to get away with this tactic.

Back to my immediate problem. How do I find the thread that I created in 2017 about Piriform/Avast renewal lies, please?

    Hi Again Taffy

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this . . .

There is no real quick way to find a 3 year old thread on Community, you would need to go to your profile page on Community and scroll down a long way to find that thread and seeing as you are a very active member on Community, you have a lot of threads to scroll through

I tried searching for CCleaner on Community, and that may be a quicker way for you to find that thread, here are a couple of your threads about CCleaner:

An update, in case anyone is receiving these emails (that are in my opinion attempted fraud).

I've received more of these emails so I went on Twitter and posted my complaint there, "copying in" Piriform Software (by including @Piriform in my tweet). Within a few minutes, they replied with an apology and they've blocked future reminders.

    The power of Twitter!

The fact remains that they shouldn't be sending out these emails and I've no doubt that some users will be tricked into buying the product that they never asked to buy.

PS I received an alert from Windows Defender not to go to Piriform's website and Defender than scanned my laptop to check if the emails had left me any unwanted presents.

I'm now off to check with my bank when I last had a 'paid-for' version of CCleaner.
